This month’s recipe is delicious pumpkin muffins! Fall is a wonderful time to harvest pumpkins for various dishes, and a large part of enjoying food includes leaving room for dessert! Especially in today’s “diet driven” society, there are a lot of opinions around desserts and what is “healthy” versus “unhealthy”.
We stand with food being a joyful experience; delighting in sweets and creating balanced meals where all foods fit is crucial for building and maintaining a sustainable relationship with food! We hope you indulge in these delicious pumpkin muffins - and stay warm!
Legs-Up-the-Wall Pose
What does “harvesting peace” mean to you? Balancing out my work and home life, for example, is one way that I harvest and maintain peace during this time of year. Another way to “harvest peace” includes setting aside intentional time to decompress, allowing the body, mind, and spirit to rejuvenate.
Legs-Up-the-Wall pose is a quick and accessible posture to aide in alleviating tired legs, calming the mind, and reducing tension in the neck. This posture is also a mild inversion, meaning your heart is higher from the ground than your head; inversions naturally stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system (calming, balancing sensations) by gently increasing blood circulation away from the limbs and toward the heart. Check out the video demonstration linked below, and feel free to use this posture to harvest your own peace this month!
As always, thank you all for taking the time to engage with this month’s content! Take care and be well.
